is my math right?

So I have a field that is 5430 feet long north and south. Starting at the east side, if I go 8 feet to the west that equals an acre? 160 feet is 20 acres? Sometimes I get playing with the calculator and just get myself all confused

My understanding is if the 5430 is based on a survey, you might have slightly more terrain. I have heard the length [the 5430 feet] is looking vertically down; the survey is based on vertically down. It cannot see undulations in the ground, so depending on how much up-and-down-and-up-and-down, you might have slightly more sq. ft., slightly more tillable acreage. In other words, what you calculate will be the minimum. I think.

I used a program online using satellite imaging to come up with that number. It doesn't have to be perfect, I just wanted to be close to 20 acres. im thinking about taking part of a field out of pasture and cropping it.

I now have a small wheel, but better yet I have my Dad's Walking A. for feet, and my Grandada Walking A for rods. Remember following Dad around and HELP count laps. Dad could swing that thing faster than I could walk.
