OT skunks and coons

I was reading my old hometown weekly paper last night. In the Sheriff's report most calls were for loose livestock but one caught my eye. A deputy was dispatched to a local hospital ER on a report of a man with a GSW. Turns out the man shot himself in the finger with a .357 revolver while shooting at a skunk. The wound was not considered life threatening. Nothing on the condition of the skunk.

You must be from some where near Hallettsvile, TX. Saw the story on the front page of that paper. I'm just up the road about 15 miles from there.

I grew up in Moulton. My Dad taught Ag there from 1945 till 1976. I'm a member of STWSACTAFEC. I'll be at Moravia May 3.

I'm just a few miles north of Moravia. If I'm around on May 3, I'll try to get together with you at the store. I'm gonna mark it on the calendar.

I shot out a tire on the car shooting a skunk with my 357.

Bullet went through said skunk, ricocheted off of the cement pad in front of the shed, turned about 30 degrees, went into shed, and flattened the front drivers tire. Magic bullet. I felt like Abraham Zapruder standing there in my boxer shorts.
