Looks like it might warm up a bit.
I heard today we are in the top ten coldest winters since the 1890s when they started measuring such things. At least for the # of days it was below zero.
I think we've had one day since the 1st of the year it got above freezing.
My shop is the great outdoors and I've got a tractor I'd sure like to split for a clutch.
Looks like Monday might be game day for that.
It'll be nice to work with my bare hands again for a while.

You're a braver man than I am.
If I can't at least get it in out of the wind, it's waiting for spring!
Emergencies excluded of course.
I would drop half of the bolts in the snow and have to wait for
spring to find them anyway!
Best of luck with the clutch and stay warm! :)

Know what you mean. I have my JD D apart for some head/manifold work and I'm not working on it until it warms up some. No heat in the barn so I doubt if the copper coat gasket sealer would even work. Don't need it until spring work anyway.

Not a peep from Al, but, just like a ground hog, he will be back next summer when it gets hot as it always does.

Yes, cental Iowa has had much the same cold. I've just abandoned some projects as my fingers get cold after 30 min to and hour. Invariably have to take a glove off to finger a bolt or such and that just about ends my outside work. Thought that I would have my heated shop done mid winter but the early and sustained cold has really put the brakes on that project as well. Looking forward to a hot humid summer. Hot does'nt HURT like cold does. gobble

Looks like your forecast is better than ours. From the sounds of it, we may have a major storm hitting here on Thursday- a typical 'nor'easter' that we get here along the Mason Dixon line and on up into New England. It's been cold all winter, and now the extra snow after the ice we had last week, and another forecast of another storm yet around Sunday is getting to be a bit much.....got a spare room???

It will feel tropical when it finally gets above freezing. I can't remember what flowing water even looks like!

Looking at the 10 day on Intellicast, they have 39 for a high on the 20th, that's my birthday gift from the world I guess!

Today was the 39th day below zero this year at my place....ave. is 22 days below zero....

Went snow shoeing Sunday down in the valley...can't believe the snow piled up down there...

I think you are right....this could be the last week of "chill to the bone weather".

You guys got a radiator for a 100 Series laying around? I may need to replace mine..:>(
