Creeping Kubota

I got a B1750 Kubota Hydrostatic drive. Sometime when you take your foot off of the pedal, it continues to slowly creep forward. Anybody had that problem?

I've got the same thing going on with my B3000. I've been waiting for the weather to warm up a little to take a look underneath. Mine is a little over a year old with only 275 hrs on it.
Make sure you put the trans speed selector in neutral when you get off it with it running. It may creep away on you.
I'm thinking its just a matter of a little adjusting on something. I never had any problem with the 7800 I traded in which had the same hydro trans.

I too have a B1750HST, bought new in 1993.

Upon releasing the hydrostat pedal it will sometimes creep slightly in the direction most recently travelled. A slight touch of the pedal in the opposite direction will stop it for the most part.

That said, it is too much to ask of most hydrostats to expect NO creepage for extended periods of time. I always set the parking brake or put the transmission in neutral if I plan to let it idle for more than a few seconds.

Creeping Kubota, is that anything like creeping Kudzu? They both come from Japan.
Sorry 'bout that it just happened.
Seriously, I think Dean has the answer, I have pressed the pedal toward reverse to make one stop a forward creep. I don't know if there is any adjustment or not, the one I used belonged to someone else. And, by all means, set the brake when you get off the darned thing, or you just might end up chasing it across the cow pasture! (Don't ask how I know.)

I bought a JD 165 lawn tractor last fall which was my first hydro. I only mowed once with it but I found that I had to jiggle the lever to get it to stop creeping sometimes. It kind of made me nervous not to have a clutch, although I'm sure I will get used to it.

I have a Craftsman lawn tractor that I have to do that occasionally. But I love the hydrostatic drive, my knees don't like using the clutch anymore and you can adjust the speed from "creep along" to "giddy-up-go".

There is an adjustment for this that stops the creep.

I won't go into details as yours might be different than mine, and suggest you get the books for your tractor - they'll give you the correct way to make the adjustment.

My hydrostatic tractor has a seat sensor, and if you get off without putting it in neutral, the engine dies. Also quits if you get off the seat while PTO is engaged, which is annoying if you want to go back and watch the baler knotters while its running.

Don't be too dismayed, even the modern self propelled silage choppers do it also......The benefits of the hydro when mowing or chopping outweigh the creeping.....It can be adjusted......Sam

Pat Your B 1750 (and most other Kubotas) use a v our Y shaped piece of metal with a spring loaded roller pulled down to the center to maintain your natural. Most times a can of wd40 with the red straw attached, lay down on the right side look up under the center cover and give the natural centering part a good spray. Mot times that will solve the problem. Sometimes the spring may be broke or need adjustment. IN NO CASE DO NOT GO TO ADJUSTING THE Y ON THE SHAFT. Most times when the homeowner does that it is a trip to the dealer to get things back right.

jm is pointing you in the tight direction, you may need to replace the bushing and or add a thin shim to the fork pivot, I have worked on a few of those with the same problem
