A few pages back people were asked what item they would like to have from the past.
I would like to know what item you now have that you would like to take back to your high school years that would impress your classmates. Of course the item would have to be able to work back then.

I am more outgoing and have more self confidence .

High school years were good years and enjoyable but would have been even better with the above two traits that I managed to work on and develop.

You know Sam I thought about how great it would have been to take my MRS too but, the question asked for a item. So for the sake of selfpreservation, cause sometimes the wife will read over my shoulder, I didn't want to call her a item.

Well maybe any of the vehicles I have now that will start and run without a blue cloud following me. LAMO

My HP laptop with ProE Creo 2.0, windows 7, Corel Suite, MS Office, laser wireless mouse, and an external terabyte HDD. Jim

(quoted from post at 19:22:42 01/19/14) If the old Norton motorcycle I had in High School didn't impress 'em, nothing I have now would either!

Well I would think that a Norton in high school would have been impressive.

My knowledge and experience. That's what I would want to take back. But with that I would change my future so who's to say where I would be? Happy with my wife and my life as I am now? Or one of the Wall Street guys setting in jail broke?

A credit card size calculator boy could you drive your teacher crazy working out problems like the root of a number.

I"d like to go back with the knowledge gained through life"s experiences. Thinking further, I think I"m still basically the same person, think the same way about things, etc, etc, etc that I was in school. I say that because I was taught how to be a good person, how to a good man, to do the right thing, and all of that and more growing up. So, I think a better way to say what I"d like would be this. I"d like to go back with all of the same knowledge but just the experience to better apply it.

Of course having my restored "55 Chevy, rather than Dad"s old "60 pickup, to cruise in would have been nice too........Unfortunately I didn"t finish the restoration and get to drive it until graduation day.....Oh well, such is life..........

Old lottery numbers from when they first started...

Well, it's a thought!

On a similar note, what about bringing someone from a couple of hundred years ago to the present? Wouldn't it be neat to watch the reactions? Just the thinkers of the day could survive, I think the average guy would be scared out of his wits standing on a street corner and watching things go by without livestock in front of them. Even a ball point pen would be a source of amazement.

had money to buy muscle cars when i was in school, now if i could be like marty McFly and go back further with a betting book, boy the cars and tractors i could have...lol

A digital camera; a DVD player with selection of movies; an I-pod loaded up with about 10,000 tunes; a microwave; all my battery-operated power tools. Any one of those would draw a crowd in the late 50s.

I want to retain the memories, knowledge, skills, & experiences that I've gained to this point. But I do NOT want to go back to impress classmates; but to a very specific point in time about two months after graduation.

AUGUST 23, 1965 - the day that my first wife and unborn child were killed by a drunk driver while I was at work.

I want to go back to that morning, I would NOT go into work but would stay home with my pregnant wife and we would not leave the house all day - thereby preventing my wife and child from being killed.
