It won't be any longer than most 6 cyl rowcrop JD's including a 4020

You'l think stretch by the time you get the hyd & steering lines stretched to fit with no hyd leaks.

The wheel base is longer and the side frames are
longer but the nose of a 4020 protrudes further over
the front axle than a 3020. Since we used the 3020
front it looks long.Over all the length is about the
same.

RBnSC:

You should make a flat iron bracket, like the double front weight bracket has, that would bolt to the outside of your frame rail using the center holes. This would help strengthen the frame a lot. A piece of 1/2 x 4 inch flat with the holes drilled in the center would help a lot.

He may be thinking that the joint is in a very vulnerable spot. I was surprised when I noticed the side frame on my 2520 twisting a little with a side mounted sickle bar mower hanging on it! There is no give in the side frame of any of the older AC's I've had the same mower on.
