John Deere B

Could any one tell me how to tell which distributor is on my B. It's supposed to be a 1939 but I'm not sure. It appears to have a variety of parts from other tractors. I'm not getting spark. I think it may be the condenser? Thanks.

I would THINK a '39 would have a mag.

Can you post a photo, also, may I suggest at the DEERE-specific board linked below... there's 2-cylinder GURUS there!

Distributor or mag. Most had mags on them and they could be a number of different ones

I'm sorry its a mag. One track mind here, I was working on my 1650 Oliver distributor today also.

I think a 39 would have a Wico C mag.

A Wico C has a cap with three terminals. A Wico X has two terminals on the side. Should have a tag that tells you also. Ron Mn
