Last week someone asked me to post progress pics of
my winter project. Thought it was time to try
posting pix. Should have two with this post and
will have two more.

"Here she is after the skirt was lifted and she kicked off her heels."

Be careful, you don't want to show her indecently exposed. LOL!

What year is that?

My grandfather was a machinist for Hart Parr from 1926 to 1932, then he went to John Deere in Waterloo.

It's a 29 or 30. The serial tag refers to Oliver on the bottom line.

My Grandpa had two Hart Parr's through the years. This is a example of the second one. After talking with a Hart Parr specialist (who fortunately lives close to me) I showed him pix of the first tractor and he is pretty sure the first one was a "New Hart Parr".

Good for you. This past fall I had a chance to pickup a Rumely L for parade use, but it was a bit pricey come auction's end. Needed a little cosmetic work, but the one thing that jumped out at me was the low compression on one of the cylinders. Ended up having to pull start it to get it to fire up. Man them things are loud. Some fella showed up heck bent to buy it, wasn't going to be out done, and drove the auction price way too high for my blood. He even pulled out a tape measure to figure out how much he was going to have to cut out of the supports to lower the canopy to fit it in his garage. Hey, it was his money, not mine.

Well good for you. Seems like you picked a swell winter project. Much good luck and success.
