The old has passed away...

If these three photos have loaded correctly, you are looking at our 1956 IHC S-100. Not quite a tractor, but pretty close! Dad and I brought it home from Wayland, Missouri on December 28th, 2009. Three years later, we finally got it on-the-road. Sadly, Dad passed-on in May of 2012, and never got to ride in it. My wife and I enjoy it a lot. We hope you do too. A most Blessed 2014 to you and yours!

My brother had a '57 IH pickup that he later made into a spray rig. When he retired, he gave it to our nephew who still uses it for spraying.

Sorry to hear about your father, but I'm certain that he is smiling down on you. Maybe even sneaks in a helpful hand from time to time. Great looking finished truck. Like the couple of Willys in the top picture as well.

Merlin in Rushford,
Is that museum still along the interstate 90 on the south side of road?
In that area on the north side of the road there were a man, his last name is Byrnes, and he sold a lot of Minneapolis Moline parts. Did yo know him?

Hello!
The museum is closed, but the former owner, Ernie Tuff of Rushford is still around. He has a car that at one time set a speed record at Bonneville. Pretty interesting old guy.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. You did a great job on restoring that pick-up. It really looks good. Wish I had one.

Merlin that sure turned out great! Did you add the orange turn signal lights or were the originals missing?

Thanks fur the speedy reply.
Sorry to hear aboot your dad, the pickup truck is superb.
Did yo know the Mr. Byrnes that I ask of?

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Were those jeeps in the back ground. 151s or M38s. Nice looking truck. He would be proud

I learned to drive in "56 IH pickup....about 45 years ago. Just substitute red for the yellow and it looked exactly the same as yours! Ours was geared really low....52 mph wide open! My only complaint was the seat rails would skin the back of my ankles sometime!!!Nice truck.

Nice! Sorry about your dad. I bought a WK-40 years back from an old fella in Wayland. Last name of Meyer. Doubt if he is still going though.

That is really beautiful! I rode around a lot in one a little older with the fellow that I worked for as a kid. I'm really curious about the paint job. The colors must have significance.
