B cultivator stolen my no account nephew

Hi all. I also posted this on JD forum but wanted to share here also. I have a B that my grandad gave me way back with I was a teenager along with a breaking plow, disk and mounted cultivator. The disk and cultivator are still at my Dads place. I was waiting till this spring to go hall them back to my place in SW Missouri. While my parents were visiting me for Thanksgiving someone ( most likely my no account nephew) helped themselves to my cultivator. While it hurts most because of the sentimental value, I just dont see how a relative can be so underhanded. He has taken every piece of metal at my Dads for scrap and tried once before to get the equipment. SO..... my real question is if anyone in SW Missouri might have a B cultivator that they would sell for a price that I could afford. I also have a MT that could use a cultivator if I cant get one for the B. I know this is probably not the going rate but I have about a $100 to spend at this time. Might be able to pay a little more my spring. Mostly just wanted to rant about my low-life relative.
Thanks for listening

I dont know what year your Model B Cultivators were, but i have 25 sets of Cultivators for JD Models A B & G"s. from Unstyled to Styled, two and four row Cults, but im in Michigan....

Why you coming here and crying about a low life. My azz would have been in the truck driving to set little nephew straight. We have a scumbag scrapper in our family too. It took two visits with this idiot to make him understand what ownership means, but nary a nail out of place since.

I have a complete cultivator that come off an "A" JD, will it fit a "B" I don't know, looks pretty good, have all the feet and sweeps on it, plowed corn with it in 2012, will take $100.00 for it, you pick up or pay shipping. I am in northeast Ms.

I agree with pitch! Why bellyache to us? If you can prove what you say, man up and confront the sob. Otherwise, you"re just another enabler.

About the first thing that comes to mind is that he could be on Drugs and if he IS, he will steal anything that will buy him some Drugs..

Anyone Drug-dependent is only marginally Human..

Most deserve to be shot like a Mad Dog..

I think the thing to do would be to track down said dirtball nephew and confront him if nothing is said he will keep at it untill there is nothing left, every time he thinks nobody is looking he will be out there stealing your stuff.Let him know in no uncertian terms that his B.S. will not be tolerated, and also notify the law enforcement in the area.maybe round up some trail cameras and place tham in the area also.sometimes you just have to knock some respect into peoples heads

scrap metal thief == heroin addict

He'll OD soon enough, but maybe not so soon that his family doesn't lose everything they own to his thievery.

Don't you know that family will do you before any one else. After mom passed away My sister and her kids cleaned out her house two days after we buried her. and I won't go there with what went on after that. But it wasn't nice. ended up costing me about $23.000 in all.

What kind of girlie-man are you to come on here and complain about your own nephew? Go and beat the snot out of him - then tell him no more of his stuff will be tolerated. end of problems. Tom

Depends on year and model of both the B & A and then if the cultivator is quick tatch or not. I think the unstyled A frame is same width as styled B but not sure any more, too many years. The styled A frame is wider and that means the front supports are different on the quick tatch part. Now on a quick tatch you can take the quick tatch off and bolt directly to frame to go from an A to a B. You may need to get different brace rods on front.

Sounds like you need a good security camera system. Also some game cameras. Get his picture, then call the law, have the county put him up for awhile.

Remove "nephew" and insert "local low life" and how many of you would be riding this poor guy to "deal with it himself" and bashing him while he's down?

Does everyone assume "nephew" is some 14 year old 100lb kid?

You have no idea who's who, suppose you are 170lb 5'8" and thief is 300lb 6'4" I'd like to see you "beat them up"

He isn't anywhere near where the cultivators are, and if he could have been he would have moved them himself.

I have a POS nephew. Just got out of juvenile lock up for stealing. He's 17, about 6'1" and pushing about 150 or so. Little snot (yea I can call him little) would have you locked up if you so much as laid a hand on him. I done told him in another 6 months he'll be 18, then it's simple assault.

I always like what older guys would say, "I'll take a knotted plow line to you". I still like Castle Doctrine down here, if he is on your place stealing...all you have to say is "I feared for my life, looked like he had a gun ". Bang, problem solved.

Thanks, sure wish you were a little closer to SW Missouri. If so I would be there in no time. Amazingly the little snot admitted it and even found out that my other nephew helped him do it!!!!!!!! We pressed charges and are checking the local scrap yards. We found a trailer he took form my sister but haven't had any luck with the cultivator. If you could email me a phone number, if I can get down that way this summer I will check to see if you still have it.
