Now that i have purchased the tile plow I will be needing the tile to go with it. We have always used ads tile as that's what the local co-op sells. Now I am wanting to get it by the truck load in the maxi coils. Who uses what & what's the cost. I know I will be some different being in NY & not having a manufacturer nearby but would like a ballpark to start in.

Around 41 cents per foot to start and maybe 2 to 3 cents per foot discount for buying a truckload. Everybody is going to be stubborn on lowering prices till the product starts backing up in their yard. 6 inch is around a dollar per foot.

I should have said 41 cents per foot on 4 inch plastic tile. I should not assume the rest of the country is like New York in terms of common practice.

What part of NY? ADS is manufactured right down the road. My neighbor has driven truck for them for many years. Have you called for a price? You want a number I can look it up. Somebody the other day said close to $400. for a 1000 feet. J.

I work a 1/4 mile from the ADS plant in Waverly NY, drive by it everyday. Looks like they could use the business! Nothing like it was before the new world administration got in office.

Make sure you get the Tees and couplers in the same brand. Some are not very compatible with other brands. May fit, but not lock together as well.

My tiler made his own tile knife......basically a stainless steel arrow shape with a three foot handle welded to it. One push through an 8 inch tile for a perfect clean cut. Square cuts are important for a tight fitting joint. Arrow is about a foot wide.

here in wis. 4" slotted tile is .329 cents a foot. wis tubing is right around the corner from me and I know they deliver to minn. and s.dakota. there is a plant in sotherern wis. Jefferson. when I start tiling, I ask them if they will be able to keep up (joke). sometimes the tile is in short supply in peak season. for cutting tile I use a cordless sawzall and a 9" blade. enough for 6" tile as its thicker plastic than 4". several years ago I switched to using "y" conectors instead of "t"s cause I think it makes the water flow much smoother at the connections
