Re: paulson loader for 8n or jubilee

Remember when you were a youngtanker? You liked having farm kids in your platoon cuz they had muscle. Came from two sources....loader tractors without power steering, or....we loaded/pitched everything by hand! Countless times other soldiers asked me if I "worked out" prior to enlisting....yeah, right!

Used Front loader on a 2N for years. And your loader tractor is way too big I could not even get it in my buildings or hardly turn around in my barn yard. Why any body would put a loader on a tractor like that 1206 is beyond me.

There are about eleventeen zillion guys from the 40's a 50's who would dispute that. Dad bought an 8N in '52, it had a Dearborn loader on it when he got it, and it was never taken off in the 40 or so years he owned it. It didn't steer hard (or maybe I just had nothing to compare to- that was the only tractor he ever owned).

Agree a loader with no PS is a PITA.

I had a Kubota L245DT with a loader and no PS. But it beat a shovel and a wheelbarrow any day of the week.

Occasional use, I see no problem not having powersteering. Daily loader work, I would think again.
