cylinder change out on front end loader

Knock the two pins out, remove the hoses and replace. Why do you want to replace the cylinder, if it is just leaking it can be repacked. Cylinder will be like $ 600.oo + and packing kit less than a hundred.

That's a good reason to replace the cylinder but before you do determin what caused the breakage or you could be in the same thing all over. Check with the local dealer to see if this is a problem on your model.

That sure sounds like things are stressed a little or maybe bent somewhere. Possible cause; as the bucket stops when full up position the plunger itself is kissing a bracket or the bottom of the bucket. That would cause it to flex a little. Just a guess. Jeffcat

My kids broke one one time plowing snow with the bucket tipped down. They hit something solid and snapped the end off the rod. Nothing wrong with the loader, just the operator.

I can tell you what we see most times on nut pulled off the end or broken rod. Some cowjockey got on the tractor and did not know how to operate a front loader. Stood the bucket up on edge and backdrug till he hit the manhole cover and there is where the nut was pulled off the end. Most times that failure is operator error. New rod is not that high at all from KUBOTA. Get the serial number of the loader from the left mount high . Does not hurt to get the stamped number of the cylinder also.
