Very Sad News From Central Illinois Today

Recieved word this morning that John Swanson from near Galesburg, IL died yesterday as a result of a farm accident.

Please keep John's family and friends in your thoughts as he will be missed by many.

He is the one standing in the middle.

I am sad to hear of his passing. His family as well as the Oliver collectors losted a good man.

Although I never knew him, I am sorry to hear bad news like that. It just goes to show that even hardened tractor men can get caught out......Be careful out there!

My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. I see it was a farming accident, however. While I dislike hearing of that, I, personally, would want to go out that way- doing what I love doing....

I knew John pretty well meeting him through Jim Thurnau. He was a great man who loved his Olivers. I enjoyed talking with him at the tractor events and plowing days. He will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and his close friends.
