Looking for drain pans online. seems that that particular wording isn"t compatible with what I assume to be a logical question. just trying to get a figure of what it is going to cost and price shop. so far no good. need this item to complete the over haul of my "D" model grader engine CC

Well I always just used metal hog feed pans for shorter drain pans(They are about $6 each). Plastic/rubber ones are a little higher around $8. They hold about 2.5-3 gallons.

For taller ones I cut plastic five gallon buckets down to about one foot tall. For larger needs just used a five gallon bucket. For changing the oil in the semis I just took a 15 gallon acid barrel and split it ling ways and bolted two boards to each end so it could not roll.

For larger needs my brother just has rubber made garbage cans cut to the size/height he needs.

Probably twenty years ago my MIL gave me one like the Blitz recycle oil pan for Christmas and It works GREAT. It was a big step up from the cut down bucket I had been using. It made me think of her (since deceased) favorably every time I changed oil. When I got my big truck I bought a big one which is on castors and holds around fifteen gallons. It is really nice to have the oil caught and contained, and easily handled.
