Where is the block heater on a Bobcat 763????

A buddy just brought his Bobcat 763 over on his skid steer trailer. He just bought this one last week. He left it on his trailer where he lives in town. He wanted to take it out to his farm today. He could not find a block heater cord anywhere. It would not start glow plugging it. I told him to bring it out and we could put it in the shop to warm up an charge the battery up.

We both have looked this over top to bottom. I can't find a block heater on it and not even a plug/hole where one might even go on the block.

He will need one as his shed at the farm is not heated. He has a cord wired into a thermostat that kicks on when it is cold. His old Bobcat 743 had a block heater.

Any clues where one should be or where one would go if we buy one????
 
I would try a Bobcat dealer myself, a neighbor bought a slightly used JD skid a while back I looked for a bit before I finally found it and the cord, too much enclosures tin I would sure think that one should have a soft plug that will accept a htr good hunting

It should be on the side of the motor that faces the back of the machine, possibly behind the starter or the oil filter housing depending what series it is. You can get one at any Bobcat or Kubota dealer. A lot of the ones I saw come through the dealer I worked at did not have them. We never had issues with those motors starting as long as battery would turn the motor over and the glow plugs were working. they were one of the best cold weather starting diesel I have ever seen.

Here is a link to a skid steer forum. I think think this should take you right to the exact question you asked. Looks kike the end of the head if it is a Kubota engine.

We have a pretty good Bobcat dealer at Farley, Ia. I just was wondering if I was just missing it today.

I think it just does not have a one. There is a lot of RED clay in the bottom of the belly pan. I bet that this skid steer came out of the south. We do not have red clay around here.

I got it to start for him. I just put a battery charger on it and pointed a space heater at it for about a half an hour. It started right up.

He is just going to bring it back here tonight and I will park it inside until we can figure it out. That way it will be warm if I have to install a block heater. I am sure they offered one for it.
 

I was just going to post, on our t-300, in the manual it states it is an option for a block heater.
 
Look on the Philips-Temro website for the application chart. If it's a Kubota, it probably goes at the back of the cylinder head but the element has to be orientated a certain way. It comes with instructions. I looked at a heavy equipment repair shop for a replacement block heater for my Kubota and they wanted over $50 and didn't have it in stock so I looked on the Philips-Temro site and called a large industrial supply. They had the exact same heater in stock for $25! Don't go to a dealer unless you want to pay double for the exact same block heater.
