It is 12 deg F right now in NE Iowa but the new calf is doing fine. They can stand a lot of cold if they are dry.

I agree dry is nice, but mine that was born yesterday evening just before dark, is now out in the rain.....momma thinks he needs washed I guess, I'll move him back to the barn tonight before the snow comes...he seems to be ok, was bobbing around out there.
 
That is a great looking cow/calf pair you have. Glad they are both doing well. I enjoy beef cattle pics a lot. Thank you for sharing it.

Get him in and dry quickly, JD- nothing will kill a calf quicker than getting wet for a few hours....
