What"s the correct name for this type of chain?

In the old day"s it was called drag chain. Sawmills and ag used the same type in different sizes.

I found on EBay they called it a detachable chain. Pretty much fits all kinds of equipment and comes in several sizes.

My boss had that on a hay elevator. He had ALL kinds on names for that chain. Mostly a string of 4 letter word chain!

I looked at the Farm Chains link given below, just to make sure- all those chains I have seen are basically flat, and the one in your pic is turned up about 90 degrees at the left end. Don't know what's going on there? Is it supposed to be that way, or did it get bent somehow?

This link is bent up 90 degrees as you noted. That"s why I have it removed from the rest of the chain. It is part of the reel drive on the 21 A Massey combine that Famamerica saved. Maybe we"ll replace the entire chain instead of just this link.
