Going to be making peach soup and a couple sweet potato pies and a few other things here in a little bit. Been doing the Thanks giving day cooking now foe well over a decade

She can cook but I am a better chef then she is and I kick her out of my kitchen. NOTE I said my kitchen

Women are supposed to cook.
But the men are supposed to make the coffee.
If you don"t believe me look in the bible in the new testament.

If you don"t know where to look, its the 17th book in the testament.

Well, no wonder you "rule the roost" around there! If I did all the cooking, Mrs. (WA) would be happy to let me think I am in charge.

I do cook breakfast, always, and that gets me out of a good bit of other domestic chores. I took it over many years ago, because was getting burned eggs about 50% of the time, and we were in real danger of her burning down the shanty. Takes her a long time to wake up.

I just put the eggs in the pot to devil. That's all I am taking. I have done turkey day here on the farm but find that I spend more time worrying about some kid driving a tractor through the side of the shed while I am busy basting. Better off going to them.

Peach soup is an appetizer. It is made with peaches of course and sugar and nutmeg and I use half and half instead of butter milk. You serve it cold

WRONG. As for coffee you can all of it you want I do not like going to the hospital because I drank some coffee. Yep I can not drink coffee or tea

Just the opposite here. My wife doesn't like to cook most of the time, but for some reason she just loves making a turkey dinner. Every other meal we negotiate.

dgasper;

I bought a Weber in February 1975. The first think I did was a turkey outside the apartment complex. I sure got some funny looks, but it was an awesome bird.

That coon an armadillo I will not eat till it get so bad there is nothing else to eat

Always enjoyed reading the interesting things you cook. Are a lot of them passed down from family members? Have a good Thanksgiving.

The Stuffing I do is something that has been passed down for decades or maybe as far back as 100 years. Most of the other stuff I try and find I and the family like it and keep doing it like the peach soup. But I do also collect cook books and am an amateur chef and just keep on trying to get better at cooking. Guess that is why I have friend who bring me things to can for them LOL
