Akuret rear tires good or bad ?

Thinking about putting a set of tires on my Case IH CX90 they are 18.4 X 34. The Akuret tires are about $150 less per tire than the name brands but are they any good ? This tractor is only used to put up hay in the summer and to feed hay in the winter. Just wondered if anyone on here had any experience with them ?

I've had one on the back of a JDA that I use for a loader that's been on there for about 8 years. Has done a fair amount of road travel and field work.

nother dealer had a cheap akuret. 10 ply, 10.00x16. So I put it on. The rubber is so soft that it acts like a thorn magnet. Got to a point, I finally replaced it a couple of months ago. 90% tread left. I've got two new Goodyears on the front, now...

We got a set of 14.9 x 38 on our JD2510 that are 10 years old and still look good. Got a bunch of implement tires that aint lasting worth a darn. Most are 5-10 yrs old and look like they are 30. Had alot of them switched onto to low use machinery.

I sold a lot of the rears, have them on my Oliver. Would put more of them on my tractors if ever needed. If you want traction, Firestone is a better tire for traction. If you are only going to use them for Hay. they will be ok. Stay away from the fronts and the imp tires. Those seemed to be pretty light duty

I put an 8 ply set of 13.6x38's on a JD 530 I used to have and went twice as far down the local antique pulling track as it ever did before. This was after changing over from 36" to 38" rims. Won second in the 6500# class.

I think the rim size change had as much to do with your success, if not more, than the tire change did, my friend...
