I posted a few days back and used most of the advice I received. Thanks.
There is a fitting on the right side of the hydralic pump, behind it it has an o ring. I removed the fitting and replaced the o ring but it still was leaking fluid at the base of this fitting. I thought maybe the steel tube that runs from the pump to the rear of the tractor was cracked-the nut was a bit difficult to turn. I replace that and it still leaks. Could it be a crack in the hydralic pump housing? How much work is it to remove and replace the pump if it is cracked? What will it cost me if I have the JD guys fix it? Just looking for a safe cheap option-I have the tractor sold just need to get it running right.
