OT: Dad not doing good

Dad and Mom live with us he has had multiple strokes. He had another and now has hardly any strength at all in fact we had to get a lift to get him up and down. The last two days He has slept and had to be woken to feed and change. Yesterday he talked about going home with his mother and his older sister, both dead. Remember him in your prayers.

I'll keep him in my prayers. It sounds like he's ready to go home and be at peace, unfortunately it's not easy for us to let go, but we will all be together again when it's time.

My maternal grandmom died in 1936 only 52 from a stroke. My mother had stroke in 1994 and died and in 1998 my older brother died from a stroke.
He was only 66. His 5th wife kept him on life support for 3 months. He served the Air Force during the Korean War and I was in the Army. I'll soon be 81 and married 60 years. Need to watch the blood pressure. Hal

All that you can do at this point is to try to be sure of his salvation. That is the best that anyone can get.

Sometimes it's hard for a man to be there for someone and show compassion in times like you are going through. Sounds like your Dad is in good hands. Spend as much time with him as you can because he probably does realize you are there. Prayers are sent. Bob

It isn't easy, yet looking after them at home is much better than the alternitives. My sister and I looked after our Dad until he had to go to hospice. Remembering you and yours in prayer.

Dad awake today talking about seeing my first wife who has been dead for 20 years. Thank you for your prayers.
