Also posted on Tools - but thought I'd post it here too.

Could anyone tell me what implement these interlocking IHC tools belong to?

I bought them for a wall hanging (to go with some other rusty tools and some of my junkyard photos) - but my husband is curious what implement they actually belong to.

Thanks so much if you can help.

Loren, I have never seen a corn binder in operation, BUT, would the small hook on the end possibly be for threading the binder twine through the proper places?

Dont know for sure if it is for threading the binder or not but I can see where it could be helpful to reach into the gears and untangle the twine when it mis ties.

Oh, it's a U50/U51 combo tool. A common & fairly universal one for IHC equipment, as there's a few books that have those tools listed. The hook-end on the handle is commonly used for mounting springs. Handy little thing to have when working on brakes!! You may also find a few situations that call for that odd shaped wrench head. Binders & grain drills are good for that.

Absent Minded Farmer,

Thank you very much.

Can be a wall hanger and be removed to use on the Regular's brakes if needed.
