I saw a 2520 gas tractor waiting your touch at the Case IH dealer in Auburn. I don't get over that way much but had a couple things to do over there this morning. I wish I could step out and grab it. I know where there is a 239 diesel waiting to go in.
 
I've been watching it. But I've had a change of heart. My most recent purchase of an "antique" tractor was a D15 series II at- Monroe Tractor! I'm thinking any more tractors I buy will NOT be antiques. I've got a couple I'd like to sell. My body is getting to be antique enough that operator comfort is becoming a main priority.
 
They have it on Tractor house for 5,995 dollars. The rear tires are
too small for my liking plus it only has one remote. Like I was
hinting to Bob I would want to put a diesel in it if it were me.
 
Adding a remote is quite simple.
When I bought my 2520 it was gas, underneath exhaust, single remote, 2510 four cyl.(junk) hyd. pump, no hyd. oil cooler, etc. That has all been remedied.
All I do with it any more is pull a six row planter. 15.5x38 wide spaced duals. What I would really like to do is go to 20" rows. Then I might run 14.9x38 duals.
 
To buy it at something on the order of 5,000 dollars and make the changes I would want to make would be more money in the end than I can justify. For the tools I have it would be just a sprayer and auger tractor. Maybe someday. Or if small scale dairying comes back to be profitable on a consistent basis. Naw, I have enough aches and pains in my late 40's so I don't see getting cows unless I win the lottery so I can watch someone else milk them.
 
Hey Bob, that CH guy is my down the hill neighbor. He's ok, just has a half painted orange tractor....These other fellows I haven't yet met.
 
Ya know Dan, I haven't even started that Allis yet. Time just seems to dissappear. Got my Massey for work.

I'll have to get back to it this winter.
