The last of the potatoe's are now being cartoned for the coming year uses. Wood is down to just finishing being split and stacked,Hope you folks are done with your wood and garden chores. Regards LOU.

Not wanting to hijack Lou's thread here, But the variety of potato can determine the shape somewhat. Also the texture of the soil can cause variation in shape. In other words, a loose loam-they can grow to maturity with little resistance. In a clay or rocky soil they have more difficulty "rooting" through the soil.
Lou's soil must be quite fertile, 'cause those are some good sized taters!
