Looking at a Bobcat 2200 4wd utv. Anyone got any experience with these? How hard are parts to find? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, don.
 
YOU ASKED;;; ONE MAN,S OPINION Most over priced piece of junk out there. Have several contractors that tried them when they came out and have since traded out of them.
 
I have seen them around. They are serviced buy most Bobcat dealers. You need to ask your local Bobcat dealer because many dealers do not stock many parts for them. I have heard they are heavy and slow. Have not heard anything bad about them as far as problems.

I think they are usually over priced compared to other brands of the same type of machine.
 
They may be junk but if they were the best machine on the market, it's not likely you'd hear it from a Kubota dealer. Bobcat has good marketing and some good machines but they also have some machines that are lacking compared to their competition. Their first excavators used simple gear pumps and standard controls while other machines were using variable pumps and even pilot controls. They were old technology and used a lot more HP/fuel for the same size machine. They also claimed they had more digging power but didn't measure it by the accepted standard. I've used a Nagano(Japanese) excavator and an almost new Bobcat and the Bobcat was not anywhere as smooth or precise to run.
 
I have a Husqvarna (same machine) They are the old Club car golf carts basically. They are junk like someone says. I use to sell them. Bobcat bought Club Car. Kubota is by far the best of the bunch.
 
We have a couple at work both have/had an oil pressure problem, one is in another location and don't know what the mechanic has found, the other the mechanic said to run it since there is oil in it, but light was on,(he's not the sharpest tack) so worker kept driving engine locked up. Bobcat has a new kit to replace engine since original engine was only made for this unit. $4000 for a 2 cylinder engine and installation kit. chris
