rrlund, others --- Wards Twin Row - Oliver in disguise?

Was at a "moving sale" yesterday. Owner has several antique tractors. One is a nicely restored Twin Row.
Wasn't real close, but clearly had "OLIVER" cast in the manifold. Were the Wards manufactured by Oliver? Or might the manifold be a transplant?
(Tractor was not in the for sale lineup.)

(Randy --- Still had that Oliver 60, but looked pretty rough, missing curtains and possibly other parts...)

Trying to think what the order was in history. The Wards Twin Row was a Cletrac General. Oliver bought Cletrac, but I think at that time Avery bought the General wheel tractor line. Could be an Oliver Cletrac manifold on there I suppose. Would have been the same thing as on the crawlers.

I should get up there and see what his bottom dollar is on that 60 if it's still there Sunday morning. Did he say what he was asking now? It's been two years or so now since he gave me a price but he's been on me to come and look at it and make an offer. I'd rather have a good rusty original barn find that's all there.

Didn"t ask what he wanted for it...
He was pretty busy!

Should have asked about the JD brake assemblies too, If they fit Michael"s "49 JD B, i might be interested - looked too big, though. If you get up there, would you ask him?

Wards was in the garage east stall, behind checkout table. Check it out if you get the chance. I didn"t get to look at it too carefully, as I was trying to limit the wife and her damage to the checkbook! Suffice it to say she went over the $100 check limit they had going, by a long shot! (Checks over $100, wel"ll give you a receipt, pick up your merchandise in two weeks!)

Took our check, we took the stuff - even had help loading it. But then Jan, Bruce and I go back many a year, they know where I live.
