Anybody expecting frost?

A couple days ago they were calling for frost in the highest elevations here for Friday morning. Revised forecast is talking for frost to be a little less isolated but most areas where I am will not drop below 40. Corn is partially dented but beans really should have 3 more weeks good growing weather.

No,it was supposed to drop to the upper 30s in parts of Michigan last night, but 44 was the low here I think.

About the same forcast here, Scattered frost in the southern foothills of the Adirondacks, just the other side of the Mokawk River from us. Hard freeze in the central Adirondack area. and east. The weather watchers at our local TV station (Utica) said at our elevation south of the river could also get a shot.
The Corn and beans are at about the same stages here also. The soggy June weather, and inability to get on the ground with herbisides and post emergent fert. has slowed the growing process. Like you, a hard frost within the next 3 weeks will severly affect the bean crop.

Took a ride over through Honeoye this AM to look at a tractor. Pretty country. They mentioned the five letter word on the radio then.
I'm at about 750' MSL. Cayuga lake is about 380' MSL, a couple miles to the west. So there's lots of room for the cold to slide off!

Sitting here by my open slider, with my jersey on, it feels like it will frost tonight! I'm just outside Portsmouth, New Hampshire. They are calling for frost up north. Last weekend it was too hot and humid to do anything!

That's an 'F' word we don't use this early in September here in my part of NWIA, especially this year. We would be hurt big time if it happened to us now. It could hold off another month and still be a little early for some of the June planted corn. South of here thirty miles or more they are chopping corn silage and plan on running the combines in a couple weeks because of drought. Jim

I am over in York by the York Harbor Inn. Weather gauge says 56.5 at almost 10PM.

It froze here last night. We covered the garden but the corn looks dead anyway. The tomatoes and other stuff is OK. New Liskeard Ont. I haven't been out to see how the corn and soybeans are doing. Soybeans are just starting to turn yellow here.

No frost here but morning temps the last few days have been in the mid to upper 30's. But get away from the lake and they have had frost 3 or 4 nights now...

I have range ground north of here and its common to see snow at the labor day rodeo they have. not a lot just enough that you get wet and puts a white dust on the ground
