O/T Is Fall Early this Year?

I have noticed that many fruits were a month early this year. Now I'm noticing some trees are loosing their leaves already here in South Central Illinois. Has anyone elsewhere noticing this in your area?

Here in south central NC summer garden finished early. pears are done, apples about ready, some leaves starting to yellow. But it has been cool all summer and we have had plenty of rain.

The plants in AZ have not done as well this summer as in previous years. Personally, I would welcome an early winter. Tired of this 110 degree weather without any rain at all.

A little aside to that. They were saying on AgDay the other morning that the number of days above freezing in the Arctic has been just half of normal this year.

Its been the coolest summer in N. Tx I can remember. Weather has been very pleasant, very few days over 100.

Have to wonder what winter is going to be like. We haven't had a bad one in nearly 40 yrs.

And here in Ohio setting records for coldes summer on record. July was like september should be. Produce markets closing a month early.

The weather has been odd all year so far. Cool wet spring had things growing slowly. Then this month record rain fall and now in the upper 80s and low 90s. About the only thing that has done well in my garden is the green beans most every thing else has done very poorly

I've been seeing flocks of ducks heading south now for about a month. Earliest I've ever seen that happen here. Looks like it's going to be an early winter alright.

It maybe an early fall. I like that. I hate the summer heat anymore. Fall is harvest time and the cooler weather is nice. I like the winter cold better than the summer heat. I can always get enough cloths on to stay warm but not enough can come off for the heat. Well not and have anyone around. LOL

I read there have been 2899 record cold temperatures in the US so far in 2013 and only 667 record warm temperatures.

Global warming is causing that though, understand global warming is causing all sorts of problems. Just ask Al-a-Gorey. Or maybe we are entering a new Ice Age whatever it is, we need the government to solve it of course, and it will be costly.

Pretty close to normal in the western PA. region. The fruit trees are dropping a very few leaves as they pretty much do in August. My blackberries just finished up. Fall green beans and lettuce were planted 3 weeks ago and coming up fine. We did have an abundance of hard, heavy rains this summer. I sometimes think that alone pushes things a bit.
