Finally got the floor done.......

I put the building up last February, then got too busy to keep moving with the project.

The crew did the whole floor yesterday, plus the slab in front. The boss of the crew said that powered wheelbarrow was the best $5,000 he ever spent.

Looks great.

I moved concrete ONE time with a "manual" wheelbarrow to save money. Never again. Powered wheelbarrow or long chutes on the trucks.

years ago a friend was doing a basement floor all by himself, and I don't think that he even had a wheelbarrow. It wasn't very big but he told the truck driver that he wanted the mix stiff. so he got it stiff and half of it set up before he got it where he wanted it.

Looks great! I hauled it once with a wheelbarrow also, never again! Where have you been it's been a while since I've seen you post on here.

I've been run ragged doing my insurance inspections.

In May, a gal of ours in Shenandoah, IA was in a serious car accident and wound up laid up with a broken leg. The first week of June, I went to Ottumwa, IA and worked out of a motel for a week doing some of her work. That put me behind on my own work, and I've been playing catch up all summer.

A couple of weeks ago, I drove 521 miles in one day to inspect 6 residences. That was extreme, but I've had a lot of 200-400 mile days.

I'm taking a couple of weeks off, now, to catch up on other stuff, including maybe a bit more activity on this forum.

(quoted from post at 11:47:10 08/21/13) Who put that wire in there. I have always seen it up on little pegs.
y thoughts, too. Looks like it will be laying on the ground 'under' the concrete instead of in it. Hope not!
