Caseih 885 Hood Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the top hood on a caseih 885 tractor? I removed the bolts near the steering area, but not sure how it releases from front grill? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I'l not be the last one, but GET A BOOK!!! It will
tell you how to remove the hood. Look around for a
catch of some sort....
 
I would bet the book does not show it...They never seem to show you necessary things like that but will take three paragraphs to tell you how to check the oil...That sort of thing would make too much sense to put in the book!
 
If you take the side panels off at the rad area you will see two studs/nuts at the bottom of the grille area. The studs face the rad,nuts to the back. Loosen the nuts and lift the hood, the studs sit in a slot. BTW the side panels clip into the hood at the top side,and mount into a rubber/spring retainer at the bottom. Pulling straight out at the bottom of the panel will release it.
 

Tech7 is correct.

No "hood release" on an 85 series. Good luck finding that in the "book"
 
Nothing like getting the answer from a BEEN THERE DONE THAT FELLOW. I will be the first to thank you for you straight forward answer.. And lots of folks do not have THE BOOK> that is what this site is for... LOL Have to love it.

Thanks for the info. I was able to go in through the front grill and remove to bolts that where fastened from the inside, totally out of sight from outside the hood. I felt a little foolish logging into here and asking my question.... Thanks for the posts that made me feel a little less foolish.
