Windshield for a tractor

Have an industrial tractor called a DO MOR---I want to install a 4 post cab with a WINDSHIELD.
Probably one of those with the rubber around the glass.
How does a guy get one of those windows???????????

Maybe get one out of a tractor or salvaged combine and build the frame around it.

Thanks for any help and suggestions..

I was pretty sure you were from around here.
Might find one cheaper too, it was just an idea.
I saw a backhoe for sale on CL, said it was off a
Do-Mor tractor. Is that yours?
It would be too big for any of my tractors unfortunately.

We have a Harmon Glass place not too far from here, I used to take cab doors there and they would cut a glass to fit and install it. I have also taken a template made from cardboard and they would cut me a piece while I waited, anything you wanted, tinted safety glass etc. and the price wasn't too bad. They also had the rubber in stock that went around the glass. Check a glass place in your area.

Any glass company could cut you a safety glass windshield what ever size you wanted. It's best to have rounded corners but you can have square corners. The rubber molding fits in one piece with rounded corners. I had to make a rear window and side door for the cab I put on my tractor off an industrial model. Best to make a frame and then have a windshield sized for the best visibility. My front window tilts forward slightly and I think that works better for rain. I didn't get a windshield wiper when I bought the cab. If you make a cab, make it strong enough so that if the tractor were to roll, the cab wouldn't get crushed with you inside.

Hi
I"m Kinda thinking that if you build your own Cab
You would have to have an approved manufactures roll bar inside it. Like those horrible elbow head banging things, that most older JD"s,Fords and Masseys have in there add on tin box cabs.
I know my Uncle scratch built a cab for our 523 international and It had to have approved roll bar inside to be legal for use that was in the 80"s. if you build the cab and there is an accident and safety guys get involved you could be in trouble big time, if the bars not in from my understanding.
He did the glass shop patterns and rubber to fit the windows the frame was 2" heavy box with 1/4 x 1/2 welded round the window openings for the rubbers, and the door was 2x1/4 flat iron. and he cut and shaped a car roof for the top.
