I have had a Magellan for 3 or 4 years now. Free up grades and 7" screen but no backup camera. Works ok for me.

I just use my iPhone . Also have a Garmin, do not use it any more especially when traveling out of state. The one and only thing I like about the Garmin is the Home button that will route you back home.

like Garmins, bought last one bought on line thru GPS city, got great price, bought extra years warranty for $13, fast forward to last month, garmin pukes, emailed GPS city, send it in, did, said its bad, (I knew that) said its discontinued so they couldnt send me another one of those models but gave me credit for FULL amount I paid for it in Nov 2011 toward purchase of another, for extra $10 I now have one bigger and better (could have opted for one that would have cost me no extra money) great company to buy from , and no I am not associated with them, just very pleased with service after the sale

I now have a Garmin 2555LMT I bought off the net. I also have one in my Toyota 2010 van. I like some things on each but the yearly update cost on the van is $185 I think. NO WAY! The Garmin is free lifetime updates plus I can put in my trucks. You can check you speedometer for accuracy with it. This one can be pocket held for walking.

I have a Garmin nüvi 50. You can get the nüvi 50LM for a few dollars more. Same machine just comes with lifetime map updates.
I use it everyday at work 10 to 12 hrs a day.
The last Garmin I had before this one lasted over 5 years till the touch screen went bad.
I do not know how I got by so many years without one but sure do not want to go back to those old days of paper maps.

Most of the guys at work have Garmin. The ones that bought other brands at first changed over to Garmin when they replaced the one they had.

Get a Garmin. If you are disappointed it is not the fault of the GPS.

By the way most if not all brands of GPS use the same map provider "Navteq". The only difference in between brands is the quality of parts used and programs the builder of the GPS uses.

I use my cell phone navigation, all ready have it, don't have to spend more money, have unlimited data with sprint, no monthly fee for the nav feature

We have a Rand McNally RV GPS similar to this one:

Ours is a 5" and doesn't include the lifetime maps, but functionally it's the same.

GREAT for RVs or larger vehicles. You plug in your height, length, width and weight, and it will plot routs based on that information.

I use it in a 36' motorhome and sometimes tow a 20' trailer behind it. It's great for keeping me out of places, including gas stations, that I wouldn't be able to get into or out of.

I highly recommend it if you drive larger vehicles or do a lot of towing.
