NEW YAHOO email a nightmare!!!

Any of you think the "New" Yahoo email is good??? All it is good for is locking my computers up. I am going to change my email provider ASAP. This NEW Yahoo is junk!!!!

The Classic Yahoo worked fine. Now the wizards of smarts screwed it up.

I thought it was just me......just awful, lots slower. I find no improvement in any part of it.

Everytime Yahoo improves something they ruin it.
I too hate the new mail.
I used to use yahoo maps instead of mapquest or google. Then they came out with the improved version and ruined it. I had to quit using it.
And speaking of new and improved; photobucket has pretty much wrecked their site with their "improved" version.

They did this before, I kept refusing until it wouldn't let me do anything, then I took the minimum I had to do. Overnight it went back to the "original",....sortof. It was OK. Now here we go again. I emailed repeatedly how I disliked it to the Yahoo customer service address without any results.

I, too, tried other providers, but came back due to worse experiences. We get what we pay for...that's the rub here.

I noticed that about photobucket, yesterday. I went to download some pics off of my computer & got stuck watching a P(r)ius commercial with some singing air-head. Photobucket lost my business & Toyota never had it in the first place.

Wife was using yahoo years ago and I hated it as it seemed to goof the whole computer up ! I wiped it all out or most all I could find and things were back to "normal" after that.

I've never liked anything by Yahoo. Used it briefly probably 12-15 years back when they first came out. I still occasionally stop by a couple of tractor clubs that use their format. It sucks, it's always sucked, it always will.

Did I sugar coat that too much?

I just keep avoiding their links to the 'new improved' version. I've been through this 2-3 times with the changes they make. I'm still running the c 2001 version... Sound like it's too late for you tho since you got snared. I find each new version gets progressively worse.

I mostly use a hotmail account I started over a decade ago.

They changed too a few months ago, but mostly they just chug along, not so many bells and whistles, folks always make fun of hotmail, but it has been dependable for me over the years, the changes have been tolerable along the way.

I have a yahoo account I barely use, seems like it is different every 3 months I visit it......

I hate what Hotmail did, going to Outlook. Forwarding a msg is complicated, usually doesn"t fwd. Try editing your addresses, even accessing them, adding them. Didn"t see the need for changes by Photoshop either.

I've been using Hotmail for several years without problems. THEN they improved it a few months ago I hate it. Going to change to Thunderbird by Firefox. Every time I get an ad by someone who has had their Email hijacked, it has come from Yahoo.

My wife works as color corrector at a calander factory.

The changes in photoshop and incompatabilites between versions is something... Only thing worse is what happened to the Corel products, used to be the standard, but got so flakey they had to switch to adobe.

They get customer created work, trying to format it for the presses with all the different versions....

Even if you supress ads with AdBlock (to similar), Yahoo is still scanning ALL your email and messages, correlating your likes and tastes to you, and selling this information to who knows who.

Combined with the badly-performing, poorly-rendering new version of Yahoo webmail, there is no reason to keep using it.

I noticed that also,have more troubles with "Lockups" now using Yahoo. And the same for the "Improved" Hotmail conversion to Outlook Express.I"ve been working with the the YT Support to get that straightened out,and Microsoft??? They can"t be bothered-"We"re Billionaires,and you ain"t". All I get using Outlook Express now is an error message-"Seems to be problem with Outlook",contact Microsoft. Good luck with that.I suppose all the Ipads,tablets,etc. are the reason for the "Improvements".

My ATT.net e-mail changed and is now horrible. (Att.net and Yahoo are entertwined)

My main gripe with this change and the recent hotmail change is the elimination of opening a message in a new tab.

The geeks that work on this stuff should have to spend one day a month using nothing but slow speed connections to keep them aware of what some of their users deal with.
