I was at a flea market, junk store yeterday and saw an M&W Dynomometer (sp) setting there. It appeared to hav gone through an auction as someone had written on the side "works" in grease pencil.

It is a trailer unit on two wheels with PTO. From the looks of it, it is from the 1960's. Appears to be in original condition and good shape. I think they wanted $400 for it.

Are those things hard to find? Valuable? Just wondering. I have no use for it, but can steer someone to where it is located in South Cental Missouri.

If it were anywhere near me or near to Toronto I would have it. Great to see and hear old machinery hooked up, creates lots of interest over here. Also good to run in a re-built engine.

That's a good price if it works. If you are not interested yourself it would be good to post it on the pulling forum.

Good known working ones in the 200 hp range will bring a couple thousand. Probably worth it if complete and looks functional. I would only buy it if I had a need for it though.
