O/T Harford County Maryland

Anyone on the forum from or near Harford County Md. I moved away some 30 year ago and lost contact with everybody I knew just wonder how much thing have changed?

I'm here in Bel Air, I've lived in Harford county since 1956 about a year after I was discharged from the Army. I grew up in Cecil county and I played football for Elkton and we played Bel Air

To George in Md.I lived on 165 Federal hill Rd on one of the old Ike Slade's farms I left when I was 18 to go in the Air Force they dropped me of in Tn. and I just stayed the last time I was they was in 89 to help my parents move here.

I lived in Bel Air 20 years ago, got fed up with sprawl and left. Couldn"t stand the liberals either. Most of my family is still there. I drive thru almost daily. York County is the Harford County of 50 years ago.

I assume the term duck farmer would ring a bell. I
don't know slades farm , which way from the old
southern states building? Donjr that shows up here
on the board farms on Old Federal Hill rd. I'm
not real far from the scout camp , but on prospect

donjr your close but no cigar this is John Calvin Chris's cousin you might have know me as J.C. I spent all my summers and most of my weekends on his dad farm I lived on Trimble Rd. in Edgewood I don't think I know you I am here helping Chris finish his wheat harvest and plant his double crop beans he is in Morrison Tn I live in Paris Tn in west Tn. he told me to give this site a try to find anybody from Harford Co.I am not into the web like he is he is mudcreek 183

Things have changed here and they haven't. I farmed the place on the same lane as the Slade place, and I still farm the ground across the road (Jim Slades). I farm about three hundred acres around here, run about 80 head of angus, and try to exist among a few smaller farms and about a dozen BFO's, which I refer to as 'ground hogs', because they want all of the ground. Ike's place was bought up by a guy who split it up into 10-20 acre parcels. There are about two or three new houses on it, and the old ones down on the main place, plus acouple of lots left. Two of the houses are in foreclosure right now and vacant. The goofball that bought the old farmstead was gonna raise horses, and does board a few. The Street place next door got split up as soon as the daughter got her fingers on Bill's bank account and has sprouted about half a dozen houses. Bill passed away last winter, and Joyce died about five or six years ago. But the David Slade place to the rear is still owned by Sam Foard, and farmed by one of the local BFO's. MOst of the area is still farmed, but the citidiots are still making inroads, and are a bigger PITA than ever.

Donnie Robinson your the last person I thought would find here here J.C. came over this year to help I guess him and his wife were worried about me this year since mom passed away last month at least I had a truck driver this year I had heard that Bill and Joyce had passed away I have about 250 acre of farm ground here and work at M&L Repair and Dist. graveyard shift.We are about two weeks behind on the wheat harvest I got done yesterday and got the last of the double crops planted and sprayed today I haven't been back since I moved here in 88 give me a holler sometime 931 728 7190 after 9 your time we are on CDT here.
