Pot of gold?

Or maybe just a pot of old metal.... wife seems to think its the latter.
Storm just finished up and left a rainbow leading right to the shop. Had just enough time before the storm to get the one tractor under the roof and the grill (with BBQ pork chops cooking) under too.
Not real visible is the other tractor parked in the shop. Not much of a pot of gold, but I like it!

(quoted from post at 20:36:57 06/28/13) I can only dream of a shop that nice .....

I was thinking the same thing. That concrete apron is worth it's weight in gold as far as I'm concerned. I can only dream of having a nice roomy shop to work in, much less to store my equipment in. Seems to be about the same everywhere up in my area.

Thanks!

It's a lot nicer than what I intended when I started to build it. Was originally going to do a large run-in, then a quick cheap pole building, then... well, now I have this with a full poured foundation, insulated slab, and stick framed. Plumbing roughed under the slab. And I'm happy!

I think its the curse/blessing of any trade or profession. I design and build things for a living and just can't get past the mental harassment I would have given myself with anything less. Took me longer to build as I saved up money as I went and looked for good materials deals (the windows are Pella's top of the line simulated divided lite - my rep ordered them wrong for another job, got them for the cost of vinyl windows). Even the little run-in woodshed I have at the other end of the property has rafter/plate ties and synthetic roof underlayment - even though I built it out of salvaged deck boards.

Next up hopefully this year will be electric. With any luck insulation and wallboard will follow.

Thanks

Tony
