The grandsons got to try out their Power Wheels Jeep today. First ride only lasted 4-5 minutes and the Forward/reverse switch started to act up. I jumped around the terminals and determined that it was the switch. So now I had TWO BAD switches. I was beginning to feel like the PIT crew part of them riding this thing was going to be work on it for hours and ride it for minutes. LOL
So with nothing to loose I took one of the switches apart. It just needed the contacts cleaned. Started working fine after I clean it up inside.
Here are some pictures of the dangerous Duo in action. You may notice they have a full set of thing to play on: Sand box, swing set, trampoline, and several trikes/bikes. So really just adding to the herd. LOL
PS: Found the rated capacity of the Jeep was 75 LBS. While at the lumber yard they where playing on the UPS scale. They weight 95 lbs. combined. So no more double riding. I guess the Jeep was doing better then we thought. They rode it through three charges this afternoon.
