We have three trees in our back yard. We wrote this year's "crop" off back in May when they were in full bloom and the got 3" of snow then a week of hard freezes. Despite all that there appears to be a fair number on them - a little better than last year.

Wife picked 5 gallons of cherries since Sunday - the stove with the canner on it is fighting it out with the aircondition.

Jon, YOU DIRTY ROTTEN RACKENFRACK,LOL.

We have been waiting for our trees to produce those. The local market is getting somewhat better, instead of tasting like cardboard, they added a new flavor, WET CARDBOARD.lol Enjoy them for us. I'm too old to drive to Georgia, and I envy your peaches. Could mail order some, but pony express here ships them over land express over washboard roads, so we would end up with jam, instead of whole peaches. NICE PICTURES.
Regards LOU.

My in-laws live near Ruston (I used to live there myself.) Sis-in-law had fresh peach cobbler at a family get-together this past weekend, and she knows how to make it right.

Yum!! Looked at peaches at the grocery store the other day. They were hard as a rock, lots of green on them and $2.98/lb. No thanks.

Best peach I ever had came off a tree in my back yard. Sweet and juice was running everywhere.

Nice benefit to long haul trucking, being able to buy stuff like that.

Want to sell them on your way back to northern MN? Leave 'em on the doorstep of the place with the old Regular in the yard (can't miss it) - I'll drop a check in the mail. LOL.

I can almost taste mom's home canned peaches right now.

COOPER Farms about thirty miles up the road. Sells some really good peaches. Straight from the trees behind the store. Well worth the drive. Unless one of their sales trucks is in town.
