Where Is Everybody in Illinois?

Haven't heard from the Glennster since I thought about dropping the Dottir's tractor off for painting or billonthefarm since we helped feed the cattle!

Yeh, Larry NEIL, centralilbaler, toolz, Vic S and Travis M check in from time to time.
>Been busy since it quit raining?

I"m still around. Overtime has been crazy at work which is great for the paycheck but not the greatest for trying to get anything else done. I wont swear to it but I don"t think billonthefarm is on here hardly at all anymore. Think he spends a lot of time on another site these days. The old 80 is still up and running. Had it out there at home the other day.

Glennster is on vacation at Lake Norfork in Arkansas per what he told me in an email last week. He was going to try to call me so I could meet him, but I have not heard from him yet. I threatened to put him to work driving a tractor, so he may have chickened out.

Here in Highland farmers are getting their beans planted. I'm working the midnight shift filling in for the one guy that's on vacation. It's been rough adjusting to sleep and knowing it's only for one week.

Planting soybeans-early 'til late .

Darn seed is huge this year, seems like I spend too much time filling the planter.

I had to take a break and go ...

facebooking!

Often need to feed my fans you know...plus I kinda fell asleep for a few winks while over there.

I haven"t lived mear Altona since 1957, but I like to see all the postings from that general area. Keep up the good work, you folks!

My guess is they are out fighting excessive water problems. It is bad enough in Iowa, will be driving thru Illinois nest and we will see.

It is too early to tell, all of the estimates will be wrong but the corn crop is 3-4 weeks late and plants look yellow. A lot of nitrogen has clearly been lost. We need some warm weather with minor wind. Many field either have not been planted or or not up, I guess these are beans.

Just got the rabbit fence up, the late garden crops in (pumpkins), and the plow greased and put away until fall. Need to work on my old WD one of these days...

Still here, had a rough trip to arkansas. Started the trip out, swmbo woke up with an impacted tooth, all swollen up, delayed start to get to the doc. Finally got down there, was looking forward to meeting james. While there good friend that i grew up with who lives there now had a massive heart attack and passed away. Had a couple days spent with his family. Then on the way home, water pump went out on the suburban. Should of stayed home and sat under the kitchen table for the week. Ah well, maybe next year!
