Removing Spray Paint

OK, I have a question. Someone took silver and black spray paint and done some graffiti on my tractor rims. Is there a way to remove spray paint and NOT remove the yellow paint that is supposed to be there??????

If the yellow paint on your rims is well cured you can take paint
reducer and wipe spray paint off, but try a small spot first just
to make sure that it isn't going to wrinkle your yellow paint or
fade it. I have also took a heavy buffing compound and
scrubbed paint off before.

act fast, it's your only hope.

I'd try acetone or something - wet a rag and wipe it. Might get most of it off anyways.

Buy a spray can of "Goof Off" graffiti remover. Local hardware (Ace) should have it. Works really well and is designed to remove graffiti. On most surfaces it should wipe right off. Had someone spray graffiti on my masonry building. There I sprayed Goof Off and then had to hit it with a pressure washer and it came right off.

As said below, find an arisol can labled vandalism or
graffiti remover. Though you could spray it right on,
you need to wipe it right off, as the longer it sits the
further it goes. I d try spraying onto a rag and then
wiping/rubbing off.

Pretty much any polishing/buffing compound will work. It will remove a little of the yellow at the same time, but since the yellow is cured, the graffiti will come off much more readily and with a little care you should be able to get it all off and the yellow will be cleaner and shinier.

An autobody guy I knew used oven cleaner to remove painted on names, etc. from trucks. I never had the need to try though.
