A buzz word that drives me nuts here is "heavy duty". People advertise everything as heavy duty. You have a regular half ton? They call it heavy duty. Have a light sheet metal version of something? They call it heavy duty.
Re the scrapping, I have a few late model vehicles in the yard for sale. When I put one of them up for sale it ran perfectly was less than 10 years old, no rust, new battery, needed suspension work on one side in front. Low miles, new tires and and extra set of rims. All I got was scrappers saying they'd give 0-100$ and only if the car was complete. I couldn't keep the battery or new tires. Couldn't pull the engine etc. I took the 300$ of tires and 75$ battery out, I'll probably grab the fuel pump and engine and take the body in to crush myself and get the 50$ myself.
