Fuel Injector

Im having problems with my JD 2240 starting. It stopped yesterday and just before it stopped the engine raced 2 or 3 times before stopping. I changed the fuel filter, checked the fuel pump and it was pumping to the fuel filter. I checked the fuel injector and fuel was going to the pump. I check the injector lines and fuel was going into the lines. I haven"t check the injectors yet because they are only 4 weeks old. Can anyone tell me what to do. I"m at a stand still. Check the fuel return fitting at the inj pump & return line to be sure neither is blocked. Is kill cable arm at inj pump in the run position?

OK so fuel squirts out of valve(parts key #11) with line removed when engine is turned over correct?
