Farmall H carb

I just installed my rebuilt carb but I can only get tractor to fire on ether,what adjustmants do I need to make? Any help would be appreciated.

First you need to determine whether you have gas at the carb. Take the drain plug out of the carb bowl and hold a can under it and turn on the gas at the sediment bowl. You should get a good stream of gas for as long as you leave the gas on, if not you are plugged somewhere up the line. If you do have gas you may need to check your adjustments.

Yes pull the plug on the carb and let it drain for about 30-45 seconds. After this time if the flow slows down you have a restriction somewhere between the carb and the tank. If you take the sediment bowl off under the tank and turn the fuel on you should get two streams of gas coming out.
