W SC crop report

Drove about 2 hours across the state today. One good farming area had corn up in different fields 3-6 inches high. Some notill soybeans planted, just up. Small grain looked great. One farm had thick, tall oats, headed out, with lots of rye mixed in. He may be going to cut it for silage, it's a dairy area. Some hay cut and baled some time ago, don't know how he missed the rain. Other hay cut, hope he gets it baled, rain in the forecast tomorrow.

One small patch of nice, tall, headed out oats had 3 horses in it, there in the morning, still there when we came back. Is that all right for horses? Just curious, don't have horses.
