Thanks everyone for the prayers and thoughts.

I do not know if I should use the words "forced" or "talked into" but mom and dad had a long talk after several days of her facing death in the face.

Only time will tell if they made the right or wrong decision but she had a pace maker installed and the doctor said all is looking well now.

I do know one thing..........
If this turns out to be the wrong decision she is going to kill my dad.

Have had mine 3 yrs now and it has taken me out of 3 events of Ventricular Tachycardia without firing the defib shock and I never knew it was happening. I am so thankful for doctors and procedures to diagnose matters that were untreatable just a few years back.

I am 68 and still full time employed.

I'm bettin that she will feel better and enjoy a higher quality of life.

Keep us posted

Glad she saw the light. Doesn't she understand you all will miss her if she happens to die? Spend a lot of extra time with her, you only have one chance to in this life. Hope she keeps improving.

My son (aged 28) haas one - setup primarily for defib... Doctors feel he is in risk of a heart attack, and that this will keep him going - Three years now, and no problems. Hasn"t fired yet.

I think that is good news.

Part of her initial decision may have been based on the quality of her health. If the pacemaker makes a significant difference, and I hope it does, she will be glad she chose the pace maker.
