Tractor Picture

On nice days I've been using this little feller to do chores. Digs like a mad badger and thinks he's a big dog. :>)

Looks like you made enough hay last year too. Maybe I missed it in previous posts, was the quonset hut always there?

That must be one balanced tractor, bucket on and a bale on and the back end still on the ground, regardless, longer reach probably very handy at times.

when loaded does that loader configuration put more weight pushing down on the front end than a loader that has the mounts closer to the middle of the tractor ? Bill

Multiply the weight of that bale times the length of that arm and tell us how many foot pounds of torque that F-11 is standing up to. No wonder that's the most sought after loader.

I've got livestock at two differnt farms.

This tractor saves me from running the large loader back and forth between the two.

Oh I dunno,

I think all farm loaders are trying to break the tractor in two at the center.

I rigged this one up with bracing from the front to the rear to keep it pulled together at that center weak area.

My M saved the day for me as well. Clutch went out on the 4320, with 45 minutes left discing. Fired up the M. Pulled the 10 foot disc out of the weeds. Then finished the tillage, so I am ready to plant milo.

Let's face it; farm tractors just weren't designed for loader work.

This is what happens when the tractor isn't braced. I've seen 5020s split right down the middle.

Holy crap,

That"s the exact setup I"m working to create (1066 w/2350 loader). Maybe need to reconsider...

No regardless of the config of mount the reach in front the axle of the loader is what determines load on front axle. Can hang weight behind axle to relieve load on front axle.

Whew! The Westendorf loader on my 1086 mounts like the IH loader on that 1066. This winter when I was loading big squares onto trucks I was lifting and carrying 3600 pounds and the loader was at the max. I wasn't pushing hard and lifting hard at the same time, but still, that picture scares me. Jim

And THAT is why I love my M loader tractor. It is an ox. Mine is a narrow front so it is basically zero turn as well. I know, I know, there are perrils to that narrow front. Just have to be smart about it.
