M2000 monitor

I have a M2000 monitor on my 4rw 7000. I have no clue how to use it. When I turn it on with the dial fully clockwise then slowly back off the dial, none of the lights go off. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't start adjusting the dial until I start planting. I read somewhere that you have to wait 30 seconds once you start planting, which I've never tried. I won't be able to get back in the field for several days if we don't get any more rain. I just get tired of picking up the planter at the end of the row to check if the planter is still working.

I don't have a 2000 monitor book, but the 100 monitor has a hi-lo switch for 16-145 or 2-16 seeds per second. The tuning knob sets the alarm point. On 'low', set the knob completely counter clock wise. Turn th power on, begin planting and maintain correct speed- all lamps should be off. Turn the knob clockwise untill all lamps are on. Slowly, turn the knob until the lights just go off. Turn it one extra full division. All lamps should go off about the same time. If one or more tune out considerably down the scale, check that unit for a malfunction.

If you can't get the lights turned on in the full clockwise position, set the rate switch in 'hi', and repeat the last set with the knob. Once the monitor is tuned, if seed flow in any unit drops, the row light will lite, and the audible alarm should sound.

Any change in ground speed may require re-tuning.

On my current 7000 monitor I start with the dial fully CCW, get up to speed for about a half minute, then slowly turn the dial CW until lights start going out. Continue until all are out, and leave it there.
