I have a valve on a engine, I believe it is called a plug valve. It is brass, and tapered. I lubed it with regular grease, and now it is hard to turn again. Anyone know what lube will not wash off with gasoline? thanks Stan

Go see your frendly aircraft mechanic and see if he will give you a little FUEL lube or EZ Turn. They are used to lube aircraft fuel valves. Hope this helps.... Rich

In Army Aviation, we had a special lube for
those. It came in a 1 pound can, labeled: "Plug
Valve Lube". I think it was a product of SHELL
Oil Co.
