OT sort of, Ebay

Has any body seen the change on Ebay? The tractor listings have disappeared. There are no farm equipment listings under forestry and agriculture. What's the deal?

I got an email notification that antique tractors have been moved to heavy equipment and parts are under heavy equipment parts.

There is a discussion on here a few pages back under "What Happened" for just that subject. I mentioned the very same thing on the MM and Oliver forums as well. I list parts on there and it seems you cant even list them for a specific brand anymore as its all lumped under heavy equipment parts. Apparently we have reached a point in time where the higher ups dont understand what a farm tractor is anymore....that is sad.

I still find parts by typing in Farmall Regular and the parts still come up (along with many articles of Farmall clothing). But we have not searched for an entire tractor.

I too have noticed this change, & I don"t like
one bit.... They use to have antique tractors
where one could view everything that falls under
the ( TRACTOR ) topic.. It"s gone.. Now you
must type in a Make / Model & can"t view all.

I"m getting too old to change my thinking....

Just another reason I hate ebay ! They keep on messing with everything that didn't need messed with ! Everytime you went to look at or list something it all had changed around.

Zachary is right. I finally found John Deere parts under heavy industrial. I wonder how many sales have been lost or sellers not gotten what their part was worth due to the change when buyers couldn't or can't find the proper category?

Don't see a problem with it. I just looked up John Deere M tractor and saw what I usually see. had I looked up only John Deere M I would have got a lot of junk I was not interested in.

Over the last ten years, I would nightly scan down the old e-bay antique tractors and equipment and found and bought 227 items-from manuals to parts, even tractors. Parts and items that I would not think to google or search for - kind of like "well lookie there, lift-arm latches for an AC 45". Now e-bay doesn't have such items listed.

What Ive found is it isnt the same for everything. Last week I typed in Minneapolis Moline under Business and Industrial. Usually there are about 2500 listings....over 56,000 came up..JD IH Ford etc. with a few MM items here and there after about 4 pages. All of the listings I went through didnt have any key words pertaining to MM. Then just the other day I found out if I type it in with quotation marks then the regular listings come up....but how many people are they going to lose because they dont know to do that and wont be able to find what they are looking for or miss a sale because of it. I list items on there to sell and I cant even list them under specific brands anymore. It all goes under heavy equipment...period. I have noticed a drop in the items viewed on there. It was fine before....should have been left the way it was in my opinion.
